Promoting Your Website – How To Set-Up Link Exchanges Via Email

What I want to cover in this article is using email to create link exchanges.  There are two ways of finding websites to set-up link exchanges with. The first is to use the normal search engine results to find a list of relevant sites to exchange links with.

You can then create a link to their website, then email the Webmaster  (at) example.com to say you’ve provided a link to their website and in return ask that they provide a link to your website. This can be done with a large number of websites in a reasonably short amount of time.   Some software programs allow for mining for this information to help speed up the process.  This is often quite critical if you have a lot of websites or simply have a serious time budget.

The other method is to obtain a list of websites that are providing links to your competitor websites, then as above, link to their website and request a reciprocal link to your website. Spam Detection: The Best Way to Limit the Impact of Spam

There are two levels of spam detection, one at the level of the server and another on the personal computer, depending on where the filters have been installed. Spam detection has become a necessity because the number of unsolicited mail messages is on the rise. Even if illegal, spamming continues to be a common practice for lots of businesses that hide on the world wide web market and fool naive Internet users. For the moment, there are just two main ways to limit junk mail: spam prevention and spam detection.

Spam prevention is pretty basic: do not disclose your email address easily. Avoid filling in online forms and registration boxes with your email address. Do not answer emails whose sender you do not know, and most important do not forward messages such as jokes, warnings and other kinds of messages that allow for the accumulation of large numbers of email addresses. Spam detection on the other hand can be performed on the personal computer or on the server, and in both cases it requires the installation of some software blocking tools.
